Loom Feature: The 22″ Zach Loom
History: The Zach Loom was the fourth loom size created after the Big Sister, Joni and Little Guy looms. The 22″ was created because we wanted a size halfway between the 16″ and 32″ looms.
Fun Fact: The Zach Loom is Mirrix President Claudia Chase’s favorite loom size for tapestry weaving. She likes the combination of size (you can make a fairly large tapestry on it) and portability (it is small enough that it can fit in most large suitcases). “It’s the perfect in-between size!” she says.
Uses: Bead Weaving, Tapestry Weaving
Statistics: Weight: 8 lbs Width: 22″ Height: 17 1/2″ – 25″ Makes a piece: 19″ x 47″
What Customers Say (Reviews from the Mirrix Store):
I bought Zach loom late last year and couldn’t be any happier. The loom itself is extremely well designed and constructed. The communication and service from Mirrix looms has been exemplary. I’ve completed a number of small tapestries and bead projects since purchase and I know that I’m going to continue to enjoy using this loom for a loooong time. –Emma
I love this loom. It is my first loom, and I bought it for tapestry weaving. I couldn’t be happier–it is large enough to work on a scale that appeals to me, and small enough to carry from room to room, or floor to table. –Sara
Another Mirrix Loom that is still easily transported. Great weaving width and height with ample shed room for hands. Great with or without shedding device for larger beading and tapestry projects. Works great with an optional foot treadle for fast weaving. 19×40 inches is a really nice project size. Easy to warp and very comfortable to weave. I enjoy using it with the optional stand and foot treadle. Takes up very little room. Can be shoved out-of-the-way under a bed while warped with no problem. –Susan
