Christmas Delivery Order Deadlines
So you want that loom to be underneath the Christmas Tree to give to your favorite person. We at Mirrix do everything we can to make that happen. In order for us to keep our 20 year record of sending out every Christmas loom on time, please help us by ordering as soon as possible. We are working as fast as we can to make those looms but FedEx or the United States Postal Service can only do their best. They too would like to you to order early just to be safe. Here are some dates to help you figure out when you need to order that Big Sister Loom for your big sister.
If shipping regular FedEx Ground (which is how we ship most looms within the contiguous United States) you need to order by Dec. 16th. The deadline for shipping United States Postal service Priority Mail is Dec. 19th, but that excludes the Zeus Loom and the Stand since they are too large to ship via the Postal Service.
If you want to have your loom shipped Second Day FedEx, we can accommodate that until the morning of Dec. 22nd. Keep in mind there will be above and beyond the rather stiff rates (you will need to email us with a request to ship second day and we will calculate the cost for you) a $16 charge for delivering on Saturday, as stated by Fedex. If you are really cutting this close and want to pay a fortune in shipping, we can ship overnight. The deadline for that is Dec. 23rd. Be prepared to re-mortgage your house for that one.
And as always, FedEx and the US Postal Service do not actually guarantee these times but we have found they’ve almost always managed to come through. Last year, as you might recall, FedEx was not to able to hire enough drivers and their timing got way off. In the end, as a matter of course, we were sending everything Priority Mail because even with a reasonable deadline FedEx shipments were simply not going to arrive on time. We are hoping they’ve learned their lesson this year.
If you do need your order by Christmas (or another specific date) please tell us in the order notes or via email so we can prioritize your order.
