My name is Amber and I’m a teacher and a weaver. I’ve always had a big floor loom, which worked well for me but was complicated for my students to learn on.
When I got my first Mirrix Loom, a 28” McKinley Loom, I was thrilled with how easy it was to set up and use. It is the perfect loom for students new to weaving tapestry and comes in a variety of sizes and price points to fit anyone’s needs.
Because a Mirrix has many accessories, it is also a great loom for students to grow with. You can start out with just the basics and eventually add on a stand or electric treadle to create a floor-loom-like set-up without the high cost or space constraints.
Even though the McKinley Loom is one of the larger Mirrix looms it only weighs 12 lbs, so it’s easy to strap onto my backpack to take to on trips, to workshops or just outside on sunny summer days. It’s the perfect loom for a teacher on the go!
